Ali and Ryan are the kind of couple who keep everything fun and easy, and their wedding weekend at The Plantation at Ponte Vedra fit them perfectly. From an ice-cream stop during their story session to an Italian-themed rehearsal dinner to a big celebration on wedding day, the whole weekend was packed with great energy—exactly what we love to capture with documentary wedding videography.
We started at Atlantic Beach, where Ali and Ryan immediately settled into just being themselves. No stiff posing, no overthinking—just hanging out, walking the beach, and letting the moments happen naturally.
Then we wrapped with a stop at Whit’s Frozen Custard, which honestly was the perfect touch. Laughing over melting custard and sandy hands? Great footage and very on-brand for a Florida couple.
Their rehearsal dinner at Private 131 had a full Italian family dinner theme, and it was awesome. The space felt relaxed and lively, and the live pasta station was a hit with literally everyone. Fresh Cacio y pepe anyone?
Ali and Ryan topped off the night by building their own millefoglie—stacking pastry, cream, and berries together while joking around with everyone watching. It was fun, messy in the best way, and felt completely natural for who they are. This is exactly the kind of moment that fits perfectly with documentary style videography: real, unscripted, and genuinely enjoyable.
When the big day rolled around, The Plantation at Ponte Vedra looked incredible. The weather cooperated, the schedule ran smoothly, and the day unfolded without feeling rushed.
We focused on capturing the real moments: the getting-ready laughter, the small reactions during the ceremony, and the energy once the reception kicked off. Ali and Ryan were relaxed and present the whole time, which always makes the entire day feel easy.

From the beach to the custard to the pasta station to the dance floor, Ali and Ryan’s weekend felt authentic, fun, and very true to who they are as a couple.
This is exactly why we love documentary wedding videography—the final film ends up looking like your actual life, not a staged production.
Ali & Ryan, thanks for bringing us along for such a great weekend.
