The getting ready vibes were perfect, but best of all, they got to marry their best friend. From the moment they arrived, you could see how excited they were to finally say “I do”. Their joy was contagious, and the whole day felt like pure magic against the backdrop of the St. Johns River.

Bridal Prep with Scenic Backdrop

Maddie spent the morning getting ready in one of The Club Continental’s beautiful hotel suites. The suite featured a rooftop balcony overlooking the charming courtyard where she and Andrew would say “I do.” The bridesmaids had so much fun together. First, they jammed out to music and enjoyed every moment as they prepared for the big day. Meanwhile, Andrew and his groomsmen got ready in a room right on the banks of the St. Johns River.

Waterfront Wedding Vows Along the St. Johns River

As Maddie and Andrew’s guests began to arrive and find their seats, the couple had a fun surprise waiting for them. In fact, hidden under two random chairs were the wedding rings, making two unsuspecting guests the honorary ring bearers for the ceremony! It was such a creative and memorable way to include their loved ones in the big moment. 

The ceremony itself was absolutely perfect Maddie and Andrew beamed as they exchanged vows with the beautiful St. Johns River as their backdrop. The weather couldn’t have been better, and everything about the day felt just right.

Just Married: Riverside Wedding Portraits in Florida

Right after the beautiful ceremony at Club Continental, Maddie and Andrew gathered with their family for some heartfelt group photos. After that, Alani Marie Photography captured those special moments with their loved ones. Once family portraits were complete, the newlyweds took a little break to soak in their first moments as a married couple. During the busy cocktail hour, they slipped away from the crowd for some newlywed portraits. As a side note, we highly recommend this to all of our couples as a perfect chance to pause, reflect, and celebrate with just the two of you.

As a Jacksonville wedding videographer, we loved capturing the pure joy and excitement on their faces during this private time. You could hear the almost inaudible squeals of happiness as Maddie and Andrew took in the reality of being officially married.

Their Club Continental wedding was truly unforgettable. These intimate portraits perfectly reflected the love and happiness that surrounded their day. From the stunning waterfront views to their beaming smiles, every second was a beautiful part of their story. We were honored to capture on film.
