A Rainy Day Turned Magic at Cedar Lodge on Honey Creek
We recently filmed at Cedar Lodge on Honey Creek in coastal Georgia Wedding, and it turned out to be one for the books!
The day started with the usual excitement: the bride and groom getting ready, final touches on the décor but then it started pouring, but all the guest and vendors rolled with it and made the most of it!
This wedding was so fun, including a super cool classic car that was straight out of a vintage film (fun fact, this car has ACTUALLY been featured in a movie before!) But what really stood out was the authenticity and true emotion between the bride and groom. Despite the drizzle, they were genuinely excited to get married, and it showed in every moment. They weren’t just posing for the camera; they were fully present, soaking in the experience and showing their love in the most real way. That kind of sincerity is what makes a wedding truly memorable.
Weather and Coastal Georgia Weddings
Working alongside photographer Laura Perez and the awesome team at Make My Day Planning, we all just rolled with the weather. We all captured every moment beautifully, while the planners kept everything running smoothly. We knew the weather could be unpredictable at a Coastal Georgia Wedding !
As the ceremony wrapped up and the rain eased a little, the sky began to clear just in time for the reception. The sun broke through the clouds, casting golden light over everything. And then, a huge rainbow appeared, stretching across the sky. It was perfect!
We made sure to capture every moment of that stunning sunset and rainbow. The colors were so vibrant, and the joy on everyone’s faces was absolutely contagious. It was one of those moments where you just feel lucky to be part of something so beautiful.
At the end of the day, what could have been a stressful situation turned into an awesome moment. The rain may have tried to steal the show, but it only made everything perfect. This wedding at Cedar Lodge on Honey Creek makes us thing, it’s the unexpected moments that are the ones to be cherished.
